The home was opened in 1990. It was originally built as a monastery in the mid 1850s. It is situated on six acres of beautifully landscaped grounds close to the village of Corrandulla. The building has been completely renovated to provide the highest standard of residential and nursing care accommodation, as well as leaving some of its monastic features in place.
 

 

Accommodation
Corrandulla has 9 private and 10 semi-private bedrooms varying from standard size to large, some with bathrooms en-suite.

Nursing Staff Always At Hand
The bedside and bathside call system, which combines both normal and emergency signals, is especially effective: it is so designed that it cannot be switched off until the staff are actually at the location from which the patient has called.

Admission Policy
We aim to help people with chronic and often disabling conditions, who can no longer care for their activities of daily living within their own home. Also, for those who have undergone hospital treatment we provide further professional help and care within a comfortable friendly environment.

Visiting Hours
Corrandulla Nursing home has an open house policy which allows relatives and close friends to visit at any reasonable time between 10:00am and 9:00pm.
 
Services
Medical and nursing assessments are carried out on admission, establishing guidelines for medical and nursing care.
We have 24 hour registered nursing care. All residents are encouraged to continue care under their own G.P. or given the option to register with a local G.P. The local medical practitioners make regular visits. They are also on call 24 hours a day.
