The order of Presentation Sisters originally came to Tuam at the invitation of Archbishop John MacHale in 1835. Today, most of the teaching staff are lay people. The present facilities were built in the 1950's and modernised in more recent years. Number of teaching staff: 15. Number of pupils: 217. Subjects : Irish, English, Maths, History, Geography, Social & environmental studies, Science, Art & Craft, Music, S.P.H.E. ( Social Personal & Health Education), Physical Education, I.T. (Integrated Technology, computers etc.,) Religious Education. This School is situated on Lower Dublin Road and is accessible from Dublin Road and also from the Cathedral Terrace where there is ample parking facilities. |
