Born 1946 in Dumfries, Scotland, I moved to Ireland in 1981, I hold a BSc. Econ from the University of London (LSE) and a H.Dip.in Arts Administration from NUI. I started turning seriously in 1983 joining the Irish Woodturners Guild in that year. Since then I have demonstrated at many local and national seminars, I also teach woodturning. My work has been selected for exhibition by the Royal Dublin Society on a number of occasions and has also been exhibited in the National Craft Gallery. I have won numerous awards from the RDS, the Irish Woodturners Guild and Woodworker Magazine who featured my work on their front cover. Most of the wood I use is sourced locally, this I convert from the log myself to give the best use of the material. This is part turned then dried in my own kiln thus giving me control over the whole process. Products for
